Writer’s Quote Wednesday- The Voice

Not just for kids!

Dandelion Fuzz

The Voice Writer's Quote Wednesday

“The Voice” was written by Shel Silverstein. Not only did he write poetry, he was also a talented musician, songwriter and playwright. To read more about Silverstein and see more examples of his work, you can check him out- here.

I chose this poem for my quote this week in honor of Kris’s birthday. This poem has always reminded me of my middle child. I used to read poems from “Falling Up” and “Where the Sidewalk Ends” to my children when they were younger.

I like the message. Not only for Kris, but for everyone. It’s important to listen to that voice inside of you.

Thank you to Colleen at Silver Threading for hosting Writer’s Quote Wednesday!
